AZOTH REIKI
REIKI: Rei·ki | \ ˈrā-ˌkē Reiki is an energy healing technique originated by Mkao Usui, in Japan. The term comes from the Japanese words “Rei,” meaning universal, and “Ki,” which means vital life force energy (also known as Prana and Qi) that flows through all living things. Reiki is an abundant, gentle spiritual energy and is not tied to any specific religion or nationality. Reiki practitioners use gentle hand movements to guide the flow of vital life force through the client's body to promote physical, mental & spiritual healing and well-being.

What is Reiki? How can it help me?
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that addresses our physical, emotional, and mental needs. As a practitioner, I take the position of a gardener…adding a little sunshine, energy & love where it's needed to help my clients heal themselves.
The energy flowing through my hands (also known as qi or prana) helps the receiver with stress relief, better health and healing, relaxation. It aids sleep, balancing the mind, hormones—it's super helpful for peri-menopause or transitions of all kinds. Reiki can alleviate side effects of medication, improve digestion and release tension and trauma. Reiki improves immunity, circulation, the body's ability to recover from ailments, injuries, or surgeries.
Reiki has a profound impact on your emotional and mental well-being as well, helping to balance and harmonize the mind, bring clarity of thought, sharpened focus, and can help cultivate emotional resilience, minimizing depression and anxiety.
Common Questions
How long is an in-person session?
Sessions are 90 minutes from start to finish.
What do I need to do?
For in-person sessions, a client will typically lay face-up on a massage table for the beginning of the session. At some point they will be asked to flip onto their abdomen or side. Those who are bed or chair bound can be treated in bed/chair.
For distance sessions, a client does not have to do anything special.
What do I wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended but you can wear anything you normally wear.
What is going to happen?
For an in-person session we will talk for a short time. I will scan the body and then gently place my hands on different parts of the body and head. Midway thru the session I will have you turn over, if you can, and work on the back side of the body, legs and feet. For a distance session we will talk, you will send me a photo and I will tell you the time I will do the reiki. After the session I wll text you my notes about your session.
Is there talking involved during the session?
There are no rules in this regard. Sometimes I will ask questions in relation to what I am sensing in the body--regarding what we spoke of prior or something new/that wasn't mentioned. Some clients like to talk, most, I notice, will fall into a gentle slumber or deep state of relaxation.
